Uplift Overview
Doors and Windows
Uplift doors are designed especially for high ceiling applications such as showrooms and warehouses.
Downlift windows were developed specifically for elevated applications, such as windows or balconies with balustrades, where it is possible to have the door slide down the outside wall or through a slot in the floor. It is an ideal solution for patios, balconies, and winter gardens.
Uplift doors and Downlift windows are available as a single panel or double panel door leaf where the headspace is limited.

CUSTOMISED CLADDING
People love the latest timbers or composite timbers, either as boards, battens, slats on their doors or windows. There is imitation stone for a natural look, fiber cement, aluminum, metal, imitation brick and ceramic, to name a few.
Note: Smartech does not supply or install the cladding. The builder or project manager must take responsibility for the supply and installation of the cladding on site.
COLOUR OF YOUR CHOICE
We supply the standard Uplift door or Downlift window with a quality polyester powder coat finish. We have an excellent range of powder coat colors available as standard, or you can choose a non-standard color for an additional fee. Premium quality powder coating is available for doors and windows for coastal areas or corrosive environments.

MOTORISED OR MANUAL
We supply all our Uplift doors and Downlift windows in either motorised or manual operation. Smartech offer a range of operators to suit different products and applications.
MADE TO ORDER
Smartech Uplift doors and Downlift windows are all custom made. You specify the size, color, cladding material and the mode of operation and we will create the perfect Uplift or Downlift frame to suit your project.
SMOOTH OPERATION
Durability and effortless operation of our Uplift doors and Downlift windows are assured with Smartech’s Balanced Weight System™. It is a perfectly counterweight balanced design, providing long-lasting and effortless operation of both doors and windows.
STAINLESS STEEL COMPONENTS
All fittings of our Uplift doors and Downlift windows are made of stainless steel for durability, quality, and aesthetics.
CONCEALED DESIGN
Weight covers for our Uplift doors and Downlift windows are designed to enclose the counterweights out of harm’s way and provide a neat aesthetic finish. Covers wrap around, extend from the track and return to the wall.
COMPREHENSIVE SEALING SYSTEM
Underneath the Uplift door and Downlift window system is a PVC bulb seal that sweeps and compresses against the floor or sill threshold. An additional neoprene sweep seal can be fitted forward of the bulb seal to further complement and enhance the sealing.

To successfully specify your Smartech Uplift door or window please make sure to:
- Advise Smartech of your cladding choice.
- Make sure the rough opening is finished plumb, true, and square.
- Advise which glass solution you intend to use (if applicable).
- Specify the colour.
- Specify Motorised or Manual Operation
