The Very Best in Outdoor Living!

The owners of this beautiful seaside property in Safety Beach, Victoria wanted a totally new and modern look and functionality to their alfresco area. They also wanted an increased sense of space, light, and connection to the outside patio area. Hence, creating a sense of flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces of this area.

Their main objective was to be able to entertain in the area in all types of weather, creating a more functional indoor/outdoor room that could easily be used in both summer and winter.

The vision for the project was clear- to capture the beautiful views of the marina whilst also providing an entertainment area that could be used all year round.

Smartech Door Systems (‘Smartech’) were engaged to contribute to this project with the design, manufacture, and installation of three Smartech Glazed Folding Doors, which are motorised for the client’s convenience. Unlike traditional bi-fold doors, which not only need a track on the floor to run in, but they also require quite a lot of effort to stack them to the side of the opening, also taking up valuable spaces on the sides.

Smartech Glazed Folding Doors are neatly stored just underneath the ceiling using a counterweight design, which makes them less visible, and the operation is very easy. No track is required on the floor, leaving just one smooth surface and unimpeded views. Blending beautifully into the façade of the home, the customised black frame colour perfectly matches the palette of the home.

The client loves the solution as it has given them a beautiful entertainment space that family and friends can enjoy all year around.
