Penfold Audi

Penfold Audi in Burwood had a simple approach for their new building, the Audi Approved Plus Dealership. The architect wanted to take advantage of the vertical wall and to create a clean, clear opening without any visible door. An Uplift door was selected and was perfectly in keeping with the continuity of the tall showroom.

The electric operated vertical lift door, simply controlled from a key switch, allows ease of operation. We used 13.2 Laminate Low E glazing, which allowed the building to maintain its high energy ratings. The door was installed with only 210mm of side room, including the compact German motor that is hidden within the counterweight cover. The door operates quietly and visually blends into the glazed façade, presenting a clean architectural finish.
